Comfort Food – Homemade Cheesy Sausage Rolls
As much as eating healthy is important, there comes a time in our lives when a little comfort food is on the cards. Sausage rolls are the perfect bit of stodge that will hit the spot nicely. They take only a few minutes to prepare and taste absolutely delicious!

Ingredients
- 450 g sausage meat if using sausages, remove the skin.
- 250 g puff pastry homemade or shop bought.
- 4 tbsp worcester sauce.
- 3 tsp dried parsley.
- Branston pickle.
- Black pepper. to taste.
- 150 g cheese grated.
- 1 egg beaten.

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.
- Add sausage meat to a bowl, if using sausages remove the skin.
- Add worcester sauce, parsley and black pepper and mix together thoroughly.
- Roll out pastry until it's around half a centimetre thick. slice into three equal strips.
- Spread a generous helping on Branston pickle over each strip of pastry, then sprinkle the cheese over the pickle.
- Roll the sausage meat between your hands and place in a line, the full length of each strip of pastry.
- Brush the edge of each strip of pastry with beaten egg. Fold the pastry and press down onto the egg until secure.
- Score marks into the top of each roll with a sharp knife.
- Brush each roll with beaten egg.
- Finally, cut each roll in half to make six rolls. Place on a baking tray and place them in a preheated oven. Bake for around 40 minutes.
